Bedtime Angels

Tomorrow we are heading out of town for a big NYE party, so tonight was our last evening of 2010 at home. I didn't intend to get nostalgic, but sometimes God has other ideas. I got a new Pentax K-X for Christmas, so I've been taking pictures around here like crazy. Still have tons to learn about my DSLR, but so far I'm enjoying all of my playing. Tonight after the twins' bath, we had a little photo shoot before I dressed them for bed. The pictures turned out so sweet and angelic, hence the song. I'm also trying to get IPhoto savvy so I made a really quick slideshow of my favorites. Bye Bye 2010 it's been a year full to say the least! We are looking forward to a new refreshing 2011 filled with faith, hope, and charity. Focusing on those are my new years resolutions :)

Hope everyone has a great night bringing 11' in....Happy New Year and God Bless!!

Twins 1st Birthday Pictures

I had been holding on to these until after Christmas, since framed photos of the twins ended up being my gift of choice for most of our family. Here are their official 1 year old pictures shot in our front yard and at the front of our subdivision.

Our favorite picture. This is the one we framed for all of our friends and family.

On The Road Again...

Girls got new car seats from Noni and Kpaw and they finally get to face front. They have been incredible travelers this Christmas season and keep spreading their twin joy around the family! Right now we are driving to our last Christmas destination...Waco. This morning we had our very own family Christmas at home, just the 4 of us. Brian cooked bacon and eggs for all of us, we had a cozy fire, old fashion Christmas tunes, and then the girls opened their presents from Santa! Yesterday was Christmas Eve at Mema and Pepa's. We had a Christmas hayride complete with Santa and caroling. For lunch we ate Pepa's noodle soup, had a gift exchange, and enjoyed wonderful time with family. And I have to mention how gorgeous Mema's gold tree was. I fell in love with it! She looked so adorable too dressed up like Mrs. Clause. I will post pics soon. We also had a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa Dorotik, since we are missing Christmas day with them. It was a wonderful day with all of the girls' great grandparents!!

Twins Get A New Swing

Today is the girls 13 month birthday. We decided to finally hang their new swing outside, since it was a record 85 degrees today, I figured we should spend as much time outside as we could. We were all in tank tops and shorts it was so warm and this 3 days before Christmas??? Leave it to Texas. I think it has something to do with the total eclipse last night coupled with the winter solstice. That combination hasn't happened in almost 400 years. It ended up being cloudy last night, but we were still able to see it between cloud breaks. It was cool and breezy outside and before the eclipse the moon was crazily bright. The total eclipse happened around 1:30 am. It was awesome. But back to the swings...

Christmas Shopping

We had our first big shopping day with the babies over the weekend. They were awesome shoppers and had so much fun. Pryscilla couldn't get enough of the Christmas decorations.

Sunday Outing

We had a family outing today. It was way to gorgeous not to be outside. Brian did a little fishing and we enjoyed the beautiful Christmas sunshine! It was a great family day.

We also want to wish a very Happy Birthday to my mom today. We skyped for the first time this morning, I guess we are all tech savvy now. We love you mom.

Santa Baby

We took the twins to the mall to take pictures with santa. In the official 5x7, taken by the pro, Pryscilla is screaming and Eden is serious. We thought it was pretty funny! She only screamed for a moment before I hollared stop. Then she just got serious too I'm sure she was wondering who this big fat man in a red suit was holding her. Of course the twins were a big hit at the mall and got a lot of attention but it was even better than normal since we were standing in line with a school of handicapped children. They were all smiles with the babies. We had a great time with them and it reminded me that everyone endures hardship in one way or another, but we are all blessed. Christmas time is such a special time of year to thank Baby Jesus for saving us!

Santa's Wonderland

Here are some pictures from our trip to Santa's Wonderland in College Station. Beka, Slade, and Presley came down so we could all go together and we had a wonderful time. The lights are amazing!!! They have an area now called Santa's Town. It's a little Christmas village with shops, food, fire pits, live music, carolers, hot chocolate, a petting zoo, pony rides, an outdoor movie screen that plays holiday movies, yummy food, Santa, and of course the hay ride through the wonderland of lights. It was such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The hay ride was incredible. Presley and Pryscilla had a blast sitting at the front of the trailer. Pryscilla stood the whole time and was a riot with non stop laughing and smiling. She was making the funniest sounds of excitement I've ever heard. Brian held Eden the whole time and she ended up falling asleep in his arms. The hayride was a very sweet and special Christmas moment for each of us with our girls. If your planning a trip, I'd deff recommend getting there when it opens, it was packed with people as it got later.
